Costa Blanca Cycling Sportive – Aitana Tour
Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 2, 2024, as the Aitana Tour takes place in the picturesque town of Callosa d’en Sarrià, nestled in the heart of the Costa Blanca in Alicante province. This exciting event will kick off and conclude at the Callosa d’en Sarrià Municipal Sports Centre, located at Pda. Pla de Galbis, 1C, Carretera CV-755.

The Aitana Tour is a non-competitive cycling sportive, featuring the Gran Fondo Aitana Tour, a challenging 155km ride with an elevation gain of 3133 meters. Cyclists will conquer some of Spain’s most iconic mountain passes, including the Coll de Rates, Puerto de Confrides, Puerto de la Vall d’Ebo, and Puerto de Tudons.
This event is part of the Comunitat Valenciana’s Road Cycling Touring Ranking, adding an extra layer of prestige to your ride. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m., promising an exhilarating day of cycling. Participants can expect an average speed of approximately 25 km/h, except in designated time trial zones where speed is unlimited. The total duration of the ride will range from 5 to 9 hours.

Medical Assistance: Three advanced life support ambulances (type C) will be on standby.
Mechanical Assistance: Three mechanical support cars will be available at the tail end of the race and at the start/finish area.
Broom Bus: Should you need to stop for any reason, the broom bus will be there to pick you up.
Provisions: Full refreshment stations will be available to keep you fuelled and hydrated throughout the ride.
